Flutter Slider – Value

Flutter Slider Value

To specify a value for the Slider widget in Flutter, set value property of this Slider with required double value.

Usually, we set the value of the Slider when user selects a value by sliding the thumb on the track of this Slider.

Sample Code

double _currentSliderValue = 40;

Slider(
  value: _currentSliderValue,
  onChanged: (double value) {
    setState(() {
      _currentSliderValue = value;
    });
  },
),

Example

  static const String _title = 'Flutter Application';

  @override
  Widget build(BuildContext context) {
    return MaterialApp(
      title: _title,
      home: Scaffold(
        appBar: AppBar(title: const Text(_title)),
        body: const MyStatefulWidget(),
      ),
    );

}

/// stateful widget that the main application instantiates
class MyStatefulWidget extends StatefulWidget {
  const MyStatefulWidget({Key? key}) : super(key: key);

  @override
  State<MyStatefulWidget> createState() => _MyStatefulWidgetState();
}

/// private State class that goes with MyStatefulWidget
class _MyStatefulWidgetState extends State<MyStatefulWidget> {

  @override

    return Center(
      child: Column(
